Is there a way to launch Firefox with multiple profile like Chrome does?

At the moment there is container feature, but it doesn't really work like how I prefer it to be.

1. A container is limited to a tab, not a Firefox window 2. Something similar to Chrome profile would be great. 3. My current flow is that each window is per profile, meaning that one window is for work, one for personal, etc.

Will Firefox consider this as a future improvement, or Firefox doesn't prefer this kinda of workflow?

Hi alienxp03, Firefox does not integrate its profile manager into the toolbar, unfortunately, you need to load an obscure internal page:

Built-in Profile Manager

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

New Profile

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Work, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Launch profile in new browser button to run it side-by-side with the currently running profile.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.)

Will that work for you?

External Links

Unlike Chrome, Firefox doesn't send external links to the most recently used profile, but to the default profile. So that will require some adjustment. You can change the default profile on the about:profiles page when it's more efficient for your workflow.

Thanks for the help. Built-in Profile Manager works for me. Just wondering why is it an obscure internal page, rather than a normal feature in the menu? That would make things a lot easier. I guess this feature is not really that popular?
