Master password in my Thunderbird 68.8.1 (64-bit) does not work correctly. When opening Thunderbird, the Master password window appears. After pressing the Cancel button five times, the window disappears and Thunderbird becomes completely open. You can browse emails without any problems. It is not very safe... Jan

Master password is designed to protect the passwords you store in thunderbird, and nothing more. To project access to your messages you are encouraged to use proper methods to secure your computer login and your entire computer in general.
