On my iPad and iPhone I can no longer access the Sync function. When I try to login I get an error that says "Cannot load page". On OSX on my Mac, all is still good. My two iOS devices are no longer on my devices list. Sems odd that it has happened on both iOS devices at the same time. Any clues?

Cheers

What versions of iOS are installed on your iPhone and iPad? Were they updated recently?

Are you using the most current desktop version of Firefox?

Hi OBW47. iOS version is 10.3.3 on both devices with Firefox version 14. Mac OSX Firefox version is 78.0.2. Cheers

The problem may be the older versions of the apps. See if this document helps.

Thanks for the reply. The issue would seem not to be with the FF version of the app on iOS devices as that has not changed in the last two years, unless version 14 is no longer compatible with the accounts server. The other factor that makes me think this is so is that I restored an older April 2020 desktop version of FF, from a time before this issue arose, but that made no difference. I also deleted my account and created a new one using my desktop FF (version 78) and that works as expected on my iMac. However, before I created a new account, the FF on iOS did not recognise that fact and only requested a login. Following creation of a new account I do not get access to do anything with my account on the iOS devices. There is no option to connect, change, delete or anything else, except to sign in to Sync, but the page does not load. Erk!

Two days ago I listed this issue on the "How are we doing" page. Since then one thing has changed; when I open Firefox on my iPad, I get a shortcut to my iPad instance popping up on my dock on my Mac, which is what always happened previously. However, as I write this that has disappeared again. What is going on?
