Hello, I’m trying to send mail out via Thunderbird and I’ll get an error message that says:

Login to account Google Mail failed Login to server smtp.gmail.com with username ********@gmail.com failed Enter new password.

I enter the new password and the reply is: The same as above.

Please can you advise me on how to fix this please.

Thank You.

Kind regards, Geraint Jones

re :Enter new password. I enter the new password

The password is the one you use to access gmail via webmail. You can only create a new password directly within the gmail webmail account. You do not create a new password in Thunderbird.

Are you set up to use OAuth2 Authentication Method for incoming and outgoing server settings ? Are you receiving emails ok?
