Since Thunderbird updated to 91.3.1 all my 4 email addresses time out when trying to connect to their servers. I can't receive or send any emails. Thoughts?

Chosen solution

Sounds like a proxy problem or AV software.

Try starting WIndows 10 in safe mode

- win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot mode - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird

That did it. Thanks so much.

Do you know (or have a guess of) the precise cause?

No idea, I'm afraid. I don't use a proxy. I use Norton Security but nothing was reported there.
