When I copy text on a webpage, icons automatically appear that allow me to copy the text, or look up the definition of the word, or look for it through ask.com. How can I disable that?

I want to disable this because, even if I don't select any of the options, the icons will appear on things like webmail messages when they are sent, webpages that I'm editing, etc.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

If not, see this:

The icons did not appear when I was in Safe Mode. I disabled all extensions and then re-enabled each one, one by one, with a restart after enabling each in order to discover which extension was causing the issue. I found it was the "qtl" (quick translation) extension. Now that I've disabled that extension, the issue is resolved. Thank you!
