Mozilla fails to respond to question of how to get firefox 4 and avoid problems with version 5. I plan to revert to Safari and am unlikely to use Firefox in future given this trap of update without possible exit.

You can still download Firefox 3.6.18 (including Mac + Linux + PC) http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

What I did (I have saved previous versions of most programs that cause upgrade related headaches) so I upgraded to Firefox 5, had the same issue. Deleted Firefox 5, went to my trusty Firefox 4 (I also have version of 3.0s) in my hard drive as dmgs. and 1Password came back on with out any problem. You could also download 1password 3.6 direct from the website:

http://agilebits.com/downloads/1Password/Mac

(which should work - but you'll need Snow Leopard. Since I only run Leopard, I didn't see if it works.) So back up previous versions of Firefox from now on, kids! Esp. for 1Password.

And if you need PC / Windows Old Apps you can go to http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php?old_firefox=99

Mozilla should warn users at the time of update to save the older version before updating!
