The version number that you mention is for Java, not JavaScript. Read ALL of the following:

Both Java 1.6.0_27 and 1.6.0_26 are outdated and contain stability and/or security related issues. The current versions are 1.6.0_29 or 1.7.0_1 which has fixed those security issues.

You can get either of the following versions by downloading it from the following (SAVE the installation file to your hard drive, then close the browser and run the Java installation file that your just downloaded):

If you insist, you can get Java 1.6.0_26 here, but (1) you have been forewarned and (2) agree that you are using it at your own risk and (3) that you will blame no one but yourself due to consequences of using out-of-date software:

The latest version of Java is 1.6.0_29, so it may be worth updating to see if whatever broke in _27 has been fixed.

If updating doesn't fix the problem, previous versions can be downloaded from Oracle's archive: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html#jdk-6u26-oth-JPR

At a guess, you'll want the i586 version.
