I downloaded what I thought was the latest version of Firefox on the advice of one of your popup windows. As soon as I had installed it the first "Firefox" page advised that this was not the latest & gave another download tab. I did so & now have what I presume is the latest version which is VERY slow and will not open up sites typed into the URL bar. If I type it into a word doc & then click the link or if I use the google search, then the page I want opens, but not if I type it directly into the bar. It is very frustrating. I have reverted to Explorer but have all my bookmarks etc in Firefox. Can you please tell me how I can overcome this or, failing that, how I can transfer my Forefox bookmarks to Explorer or Chrome.

Hi Kiredoryor,

I'd try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide and the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article as well.

Hopefully this helps!
