Had Firefox quite some time ago but no longer. When I try to down load it again I get a message saying unavailable because my profile is either missing or unaccessible.

it does because of error in firefox profile ,read out about profile : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

check if still there have a default profile and is the profile that is marked as "Default=1" in the profiles.ini file still present?

Try to delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new profiles.ini file and a new default profile.

For desktop: The other thing you can do is set on the profile manager from the cmd or terminal to launch after creating a new profile.

It could also be the profile folder needs to have its permissions changed to system full control.

Mac:

/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p

For mobile, all I have is try to reinstall Firefox for android. I will email the specialist.
