When deleting an email, the following message appears: "The Inbox folder mausisatze@t-online.de could not be compressed because writing to the folder failed. Make sure you have enough space and write permissions on the file system. After that, all emails disappeared and I had to log in to Thunderbird again. What can I do ? Norbert Panser

as support told me to do, - here again this issue i have a email address connected to Thunderbird with outlook server and ( microsoft 365 outlook server) and msn mail address ( set as standard) but i also have a mail address connected for a own site online i made serif webplus software it was always working perfect,, till beginning september 2024 then i went VERY slow to get mail in mailbox i needed to ask to reseave 3-4 times and it took 5 to 10 minutes,, and after 19 september NOTHING came in again what ever i tryed - so i deleted all and install all again, i made all settings and firewall too - restarted but again nothing worked,, only sending worked with error that they send but not made a copy into the sendbox how can we fix the reseaving mail? i tryed many times to contact microsoft / outlook and mozilla/firefox but never got good easy understandable answers only links to some pages or forums i am no computer expert so some i do not understand or know where to find things, but i got 1 who answerd me and told me all should be the problem of the server company,, how and when can THEY fix the problem? or give me a refund for not able to use there services? answers please to konijn60@msn.com

Is it possible to add a Thunderbird Settings option to show its email notifications on a Windows 11 PC ONLY when Thunderbird window is inactive and hidden behind other app windows on screen? When the client window is active, and new emails arrive and appear in it, there is no need to dublicate it by popup notifications, so this feature is redundant and should be auto off.

Hello, I've been with thunderbrid forever and am a big fan of your desktop version. Yesterday I tried thunderbird for Android beta. So far I need Bluemail on my Android phone and I would like to switch to thunderbrid. But I have a problem with Thunderbird for Android: With Bluemail I can send a mail and it arrives directly on my phone, so without much delay. With Thunderbird, it takes forever until I receive the mail. I could only set Thunderbird to synchronize every 2 minutes. With Bluemail I have an instant push setting, could this be the reason or where can I set Thunderbrid to inform me directly? I hope you can help me, thank you. Yes and the app is already very successful and fast and I hope that it will soon become my standard app. Best regards. Lukas

Using Tbird 78.14.0 (64 bit) with Windows 10. I can no longer access the Page Setup screen properly. I suspect it's because I accidentally put a very big value in for the top margin. The print preview for even a short email says it's many pages, there's no text visible on any of those pages, the only part of the Page Setup screen visible is OK and Cancel at the bottom, and I can't get to the top of the screen. I've tried closing and re-opening Tbird to no avail. How can I get to the top of the Page Setup screen to fix the problem?

Hi In the last month or so, this has started happening.

I will open a message in my inbox. Maybe I have done a search for messages from a particular person. I open the message. When I close it, the in boxes for both of my email account suddenly say NO MESSAGE FOUND.

If I close and re-open the program, all my messages are there. But when I get the NO MESSAGE FOUND in the sapec where my emails shou;ld be - the same message appears for every folder I open.

Whats this all about?

Recently logging on to my email is very frustrating. Message comes up "Thunderbird not responding"

It can take up to 20 minutes to open and read my emails.   Can you explain why this has become a problem.  My son uses this programme and he is having the same problems trying to open and read his emails. When viewers submit a form on our website, the incoming email usually appears as subject 'quote request' with their name as the 'correspondent'. But since 2 days ago every 'quote request' is showing the same name as 'correspondent', the name of another customer we have been emailing back and forth with. He was originally a 'quote request' from about 4 or 5 months ago. It has changed to this name on every quote request email we have on the system, even going back 12 months! I know this is not a TB problem because it has only happened on our laptop, all the quote requests are still showing correct names on TB on our PC. So, it would appear that we have inadvertently clicked on something. Any ideas what we could have done wrong and, more importantly, how we can undo it? thanks Chris

but TB is incapable of sending email. Either I got dialog https://software9119.technology/__other/tb/dialog.png or error https://software9119.technology/__other/tb/timed-out.png.

I tried cleaning cache and made some re+/search with no avail. There seems to exist some Authenticated SMTP but this is only available on Exchange 365 while this is my personal Outlook.com account.

I am running thunderbird over an ssh -Y connection on my local LAN. The application runs with no visible (to me) problems, other than those reported in the console window. So, when it starts, it gives some GFX1/glxtest messages which I assume come from the fact that it runs remotely and some numbers reported to glxtest do not make sense (thunderbird runs on a dual GPU laptop, with the nvidia card enabled in performance mode). Then it says it cannot deduce the GPU vendor but I still get normal (if not a bit slow) GUI output.

Then I get console errors mostly from the calendar, which have to do with my google account, but the most worrying one is this one: "Assert failed: Calendar manager initialised calendars before loadCalendarComponent ran on the first 3pane window. This should not happen.\n "

Are they important and can I do something about it? (Screenshot attached)

Since the big upgrade in July(?), two things happen:

1. When I open Thunderbird, it shows "No messages found" before it loads my folders. 2. More frustratingly, after I send a message, an hourglass sign appears and Thunderbird hangs for about 30 seconds, during which I can't do anything.

Neither of these had been an issue before the upgrade. I keep checking for new updates in the hope that these will be fixed, but so far the problems have persisted. I am using POP and have the most up to date version of Thunderbird. Tried to run it in Troubleshoot mode - the problems are still there. Please help resolve this.

I have 2 email accounts on Thunderbird, both with the same ISP. I can get messages delivered to the inbox of my main account but Thunderbird no longer searches the server for messages on the secondary account. Both accounts are set up in Thunderbird with identical settings.

I have been online and read the support suggestions on how to resolve this but it hasn't worked. Support suggested it may be that the password has changed and advised me to remove the password from settings and next time I open Thunderbird I will be asked for my password. This did not happen. I removed the password from the account which is not downloading to my inbox and when I reopened Thunderbird I was not asked for the new password. However I can send emails from this secondary account.

I have checked webmail and there are definitely messages waiting there to download.

My main Thunderbird email (the one that is downloading messages to my inbox) is aparbury@comcen.com.au not the one showing on this log in.
