The green Trusteer Rapport icon has disappeared from my address bar (running Windows 7 Home Premium). Ever since Firefox update v34.0, the icon has disappeared. I uninstalled TR once (with help from their support website), and re-installed it, which made it re-appear, but it's so long winded I don't want to keep having to do that, every time there is a Firefox update. It disappeared again after the next update after v34.0. We are now on FF v36.0.4, and it has never re-appeared. TR is still running in the background, but there is just no icon showing, so I can't add a new website to the security system. I would appreciate any help/advice to solve this problem. Thanks

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.

Installed Plug-ins

Shockwave Flash 11.7 r700 Shockwave Flash 17.0 r0

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.

Flash Player Version 17.0.0.134

Type about:customizing<Enter> in the address bar. In the new window, look for the icon. When you find it, hold down the left button on it, and move it to where you want it to be. You can move any of the icons you want from here, but some icons are locked in place.

Many thanks for this info FredMcD. I have sorted out the Flash plugins, and add-ons, but I still can't get the Trusteer Rapport icon back on my address bar. Why should it disappear every time Firefox updates? If this is a Firefox/Mozilla problem, is there a known solution? If it is a IBM/Trusteer Rapport problem, then I guess I will have to go back to them.

That would be best. Also check for updates.
