When I try to pay with Amex, I get a Safekey popup screen, but it just hangs and never gets to the poinbt where I enter a password. It works fine with Microsoft edge and IE. I think it must be a setting in Firefox. Anybody had this before?

NOTE this is a public forum do not enter confidential or sensitive information. I do not see recent questions, feedback or bugs about this or even good hits from a quick websearch. It is likely to be a problem for you rather than a general one with Firefox.

Please make sure you are on the very latest Firefox 45.0.2 That has a bug fix in it that may help.

Make sure you have details of your logins etc (You may have these backed up on other browsers also) and note you could lose details form shopping carts etc when you clear cookies so it may help to bookmark webpages of potential purchases.

Try Firefox in its safe mode. Use menu -> start with all add-ons disabled

If that does not help try again in safe mode and this time clear the cookies for the site concerned and reload using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F5 to override the cached content.

Presumably you have no problems accessing your Amex banking site and using that online with Firefox ?
