How do I stop ROBOFORM 8.4.5.5 from resetting my FIREFOX 57 "Remember logins.." checkbox?
I use Roboform exclusively to fill forms and payment information. I use Firefox exclusively to store and recall passwords. Until recently, they worked with no problems. Since the latest updates to each, Roboform resets the Firefox "Remember logins and passwords for websites" checkbox every time I restart the browser. How can I either lock the checkbox or have it automatically recheck the box each time Roboform unchecks it? If there is no way, what other form filler can I install to stop Roboform from taking over that which I do not choose that they control?

Mozilla only ok's Extensions submitted by Developers to be used with Firefox. They ok them only and give the Developer a web page to distribute their Extension from. This in no means that Firefox Support does the Developers Support when their page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/roboform/ has a Support link and a Contact Link.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
See Siber Systems for help with their Roboform application and their Firefox extension.
Mozilla is in the process of slowly releasing a native Autofill feature for Firefox. 20% of users got it with Firefox 57; a larger percentage of users are testing it in Beta 58; thus far only en-US version have been able to see it at all.

Firefox 59 it is slated to be available all users.
In reply to Pkshadow: I contacted Siber Systems first since their add-on was the one making the change. They answered by pretty much saying their software will handle both form fill and passwords from now on, period. Their wording was quite direct.
In reply to the-edmeister: At least this is a light at the end of the tunnel as they say. I will wait for Firefox Address Autofill and Credit Card Autofill V59 and replace Roboform with it. Thank you for the information.
Thank you to Firefox for giving me a way out of Roboform.

The behavior described by you is by design in Chrome and Firefox. A user can disable RoboForm extension to enable the built-in password manager in the browser. The user is intended to use either at a time, not both.
Thank you cor-el, but this is an explanation, not a solution. As I replied earlier, I got the bad news directly from Siber Systems already. I was simply wanting to know if their was a way to override their attempt to commandeer my password data.
I will remove Roboform as soon as Mozilla/Firefox releases V59.
There was no need for Roboform to force their control of passwords and they might likely pay for it in the long run.
