New Firefox installation is opening pages (e.g. Twitter.com) as text only. How can I fix this?

more options

I just installed Firefox (hoping to replace Chrome as my default browser), but I have noticed that quite a few pages are opening up as a text only outline. Twitter.com and SBNation.com are a couple of examples. I've also attached a screenshot. I have tried troubleshooting through safe mode and refreshing Firefox, but I get the same results. As it is now, this Firefox browser is not usable for me. Any suggestions?
