Is Thunderbird 31.0 compatible with Windows 10?

I have Windows 10 installed on my laptop computer. Thunderbird, I'm told, is an excellent alternative for Microsoft Outlook [which is not free, as is Thunderbird]. But before I install Thunderbird I must know whether it is compatible with Windows 10. Is it?

I think that Windows Mail is the poorest excuse for an email client. And I hope that I can use Thunderbird instead of Windows Mail or Microsoft Outlook.

Thanks.

Chosen solution

Even though Windows 10 isn't explicitly mentioned in the release notes as supported OS (yet), Thunderbird 38 runs fine on Windows 10. Note, the latest Thunderbird version is 38.3.0. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all/

I can't comment specifically on TB 31.0, but current versions are intended to be compatible with Windows 10 and we have many users successfully using Thunderbird on Windows 10.

But why not just try it for yourself?
