After Thunderbird's last upgrade, when composing a message, every couple of minutes background activity starts for several seconds (small rotating circular icon shows up in message window) stopping ability to type...screen basically freezes until activity stops and rotating icon disappears.... [it is analogous to Word's automatic text saving but much, much more intrusive]...what actually is it and how can it be stopped or configured differently (frequency of activity)?

Thanks........................Carlos

It appears that rebooting computer solved the issue. Thunderbird update took place but computer was not restarted...i usually leave computer in sleep mode. Thanks, Chris.
