When I try to send or reply to an email there is no send button.. I checked the account settings and altered them as it was set to my husbands under my name. But this has not altered the send button. I will send a snip of the email as if I want to send this was written in Write. Thank you for any help

re :When I try to send or reply to an email there is no send button You have not provided much info, so I'll provide a load of information covering most senarios.

Do you see 'Spelling', 'Security', 'Save', 'Attach' ? If no: Then the 'Composition Toolbar' is not enabled.

Do you see 'File' , 'Edit', 'View' etc ? If yes:

  • 'View' > 'Toolbars' > select 'Composition Toolbar'

If no:

  • Press the 'ALT' key to get a temporary 'Menu Bar'
  • 'View' > 'Toolbars' > select 'Menu Bar'
  • 'View' > 'Toolbars' > select 'Composition Toolbar'

If you can see the 'Menu Bar' and the 'Composition Toolbar', but 'Composition Toolbar' has no 'Send' button:

  • 'View' > 'Toolbars' > select 'Customise'
  • click on 'Restore default set' button
  • click on 'Done'

If you can only see 'Send Later' button instead of 'Send' button , then Thunderbird is operating in 'Offline' mode. In main Thunderbird UI where you have Folder Pane and list of emails. Look in bottom 'Status Bar' for a 'two black screen icon' and click on it. The icon will change to a 'two blue screen icon' and you will be in 'online' mode. In 'Write' window the 'Send' button should reappear.
