Using Win 10, how can I upgrade from Thunderbird v24 so that I can activate a dictionary for spellchecking. I presume that I have never had an auto upgrade since installation (years ago).

Uninstall v. 24 (won't affect your data in the profile folder), then download the TB 68 installer. Then, download the installers for the dictionaries of your choice, that are compatible with v. 68.
