Downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird over the current version. Most of my previous Sent Emails don't show. Inbox all showing. Where do I get them restored from?

Hi Matt, There were serious corruptions requiring me to download a fresh copy of Thunderbird. I do a computer system generated backup, so hopefully the Sent Emails are there, somewhere!! Am I to presume that during a fresh re- install the Sent data is lost and not saved in a backup file, in case if needed. Is it? Regards, Lionel.

In normal times, simply reinstalling Thunderbird has no effect on it's data at all as the program and it's data are in separate locations on the hard disk. Occasionally it will loose the profile folder, but that results in everything going missing, like a brand new never used installation.

So perhaps we need to investigate the "serious corruptions". Please explain.
