Above really states it. At the top of My Yahoo are the words Trending Now and the box with it keeps changing to various names, mostly movie stars. It really annoys me. If I go to My Yahoo in IE or Safari, this Trending Now box is not on the webpage. Any help in finding out how to make this item disappear from My Yahoo on Firefox browser appreciated.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Have already scanned using Malwarebytes and AVG. Both updated. Use Malwarebytes at least once a week and AVG twice a week. No infections indicated on either scan. Probably should have indicated I'd done this in original note. Have also done the Windows check the drive for errors and deleted temporary files (do this regularly). Also ran Firefox in safe mode. Problem there in that mode also. I gather that indicates it isn't caused by an add on. Any other suggestions?

Well interesting. I went into IE and searched Yahoo cookies and found something like 21. Then I went to Firefox and did the same and found something like 41. I then proceeded to delete a whole bunch of the Firefox cookies that looked not at all related to items on my yahoo website... or more accurately, just in a hodgepodge manner. Then I opened My Yahoo, had to re-sign in and lo and behold, Trending with constantly changing names is gone! Have no idea it if will stay gone, but guess I can delete cookies again if it doesn't . But Thanks much for your efforts. I do appreciate having the ability to ask and be responded to.
