How do I restore my bookmarks & add-ons with Firefox sync?

I had Firefox 30 on my Windows 7 PC before I upgraded to Windows 8. I ensured that Sync was working, then I blew away my Windows install and reloaded with Windows 8. After getting that completed I re-installed Firefox 30 and tried to set up sync. It did not take the password I had saved, so I had to reset my password. After doing that I got a few messages that sync ran into an error. Today however, I get no such messages, but my bookmarks and add-ons have not been restored.

How can I pull my bookmarks and add-on back from Firefox sync? The only other things I did were a Windows backup and a Windows Easy Transfer utility which apparently did not backup my Firefox profile.

Hola:

    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
  4. A continuación, procede a reinstalar Firefox:

A clean reinstall may be helpful like mentioned above, however the profile folder is located in: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles and Back and Restore Information of Firefox profiles

Unfortunately Sync is not a back up service, but in order to make sure that bookmarks and addons are enabled you can manage the sync account from the about:accounts page and clicking manage.

I hope this helps, and if you have any other issues, please post back with the results or if this helped.
