How do I link to a PDF?

more options

I frequently link to articles when I am writing stories. The URL used to appear at the top of the article which I would then copy and insert using Word. This is no longer an option with PDFs and I am unable to link to them, which means readers cannot access the PDF from my article for further information or for me to cite as where I got my information from.

This does not help. it insists on adding my user information to the address which makes the link invalid. I tried editing out my user information, but whatever is left is not sufficient.

if a website lets you access certain documents only while logged-in as a user or it is offering links that time out, this isn't really a browser-specific issue or something that we can offer a solution for unfortunately.

My boss can link to PDFs through Google Chrome, which makes me think this is a browser issue. It's not just one PDF. It's all PDFs and it wasn't always like this I don't like Google Chrome and would prefer to continue to use Mozilla, but I may have to switch.

this path leads to the local address of the file that you have saved on your harddrive and not the original one on the web where you've downloaded it from...

I think what I have to do is right click on the PDF without opening it and then paste the info in my document and then make a link.
